Objective of accessibility
The company Musik Lenz strives to make its digital presence accessible. This accessibility statement describes the accessibility features of the webshop www.musik-lenz.at and the measures that have been implemented to ensure its accessibility.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The website only partially fulfills the requirements of the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA. Further details can be found under “Non-accessible content”. Accessibility is regularly checked and ensured through continuous improvements.
Non-accessible content
The contents listed below are currently not barrier-free:
- Some headings are not arranged in a consecutive descending order and are therefore not nested correctly
- Color contrasts: In some areas of the website, the color contrasts between text and background may be below the recommended WCAG 2.1 AA minimums, especially for decorative elements or certain design accents. We are working to identify and adjust these areas.
- Older PDF documents in the download area may not be fully accessible and will not be revised.
- Some graphics have no alt attributes and are constantly being improved.
- Third-party content: Embedded content from third-party providers (e.g. social media feeds) may not be fully accessible. We have no direct influence on the accessibility of this content.
- Individual links do not have an easily recognizable name. This should be continuously improved so that screen reader assistive technologies work.
- Contact target areas are sometimes insufficient in size or distance.

[Note for webshop/website operators]: Below you will find barrier-free step-by-step instructions for the digital ordering process in our online store. The description is aimed in particular at people with disabilities and was created in accordance with the requirements of the Accessibility Act (BFSG) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 - Level AA. The aim is to provide you with the simplest and most comprehensible guidance possible through the entire checkout process - regardless of individual abilities or aids used.
Please note: This guide is a non-binding sample. Depending on the configuration of your user account or the specific settings in the store, individual steps may vary slightly.
This is how the barrier-free ordering process works, step by step:
1. Select product
You can find the desired product either via the categories on the homepage or via the search field at the top right. The search field can be accessed using the keyboard and is also easy to read with screen readers.
2. Enter quantity and add to shopping cart
Enter the desired quantity on the product page. Then click on the symbol with the shopping cart (shopping cart symbol) to add the product to the shopping cart. All input fields and buttons are clearly labeled and accessible.
3. Decision: Continue shopping or add to shopping cart
After clicking, a small window (pop-up) appears. Here you can decide:
- “Add to shopping cart”: You continue to the order.
- “Continue shopping”: You remain in the store and can search for further products.
This window is keyboard operable and readable with assistive technologies.
4. Order or request in the shopping cart
In the shopping cart you will see an overview of your products. There are two important buttons on the right-hand side:
- "Order": This starts the order process.
- "Request": With this you only send an inquiry, not an order. This option is especially available for corporate customers.
Depending on the setting, you can:
- Select shipping method
Enter comments, e.g:
- Commission
- Desired delivery date
- SMS notification on delivery
5. Select or enter address
Now enter your billing and delivery address. You have the following options:
Search for saved addresses in the search field
Use an existing address via "Use as billing address"
Delete or edit addresses (via the links above the "Use" button)
You can select the delivery address:
- Shipping to billing address
- Different delivery address
- Collection
The address fields are barrier-free and also support address suggestions to avoid typing errors.
6. Select payment method
Now select your desired payment method, for example:
- Credit card
- Invoice
- Bank transfer
- etc.
Simply click on the relevant button. All options are labeled barrier-free and accessible via keyboard.
7. Check and send order
At the end you will see an overview of all the items you wish to order. Here you can check everything again at your leisure.
The following still needs to be done:
- Confirm the terms and conditions (only for private customers)
- Optionally waive the paper delivery bill or paper invoice (by activating the radio buttons)
- Finally, click on the “Order with costs” button
This completes your order.
